Wilson, North Carolina’s story has captivated the imagination of the country. Farm machinery repairman, Vollis Simpson, began making gigantic kinetic sculptures at his family farm in Wilson County when he was nearing retirement age. He kept making his “whirligigs”–seven days a week–until about six months before he dies at the age of 94 in May of 2013. By that time he was famous. The story of Wilson’s campaign to use the renowned whirligigs to recharge its downtown has catapulted the community into the national spotlight. Grants from ArtPlace America, the Kresge Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts have helped the project come close to its goal of opening the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park and Museum.

Yyteri is a popular beach resort in Pori in the Meri-Pori area. The unique dune area and a three-kilometer long sandy beach attract tourists and townspeople to the beach through the summer.
The popular beach is Yyter's largest active sandwiched area. In Yyter there is a wide range of activities, including golf, horseback riding, beach volleyball and surfing. Dogs also have their own beach.
There are more than 30 kilometers of hiking trails, nature trails and more than ten bird watching trails. Yyteri is part of the Preiviikinlahti Natura 2000 site, which includes Yyterin Sannat and sludges and the Herrandienne peninsula. Yyter's area is also part of the Selkämeri National Park.

Lago Trasimeno is the 4th largest lake in Italy. The lake is clean and safe for swimming, safe for children and very warm during the summer months due to its shallow depth. Fishing for pike, carp and tench, and other species of fish, is a way of life for many locals and a popular tourist activity. The lake is fished commercially and many species of fish can be sampled at the numerous local restaurants surrounding the lake.
The Trasimeno climate is warm, with long summers and moderate winters. From May to September, the Lake is warm enough to swim. It has well tended beaches and variety of watersports including sailing, windsurfing and diving and the town of Passignano is the best place to find these. Lago di Trasimeno is favorite holiday destination for tourists and locals; sunbathing on beaches or sailing, kayaking and canoeing.
There are regular ferries, out to the 3 islands from Tuoro-sul-Trasimeno to Isola Maggiore. There is a fishing village whose houses date from the 14th century. St. Francis himself slept here in 1211. Horseback riding and 9-hole golf club in Panicale. You can enjoy thermal spas at Chincano Terme, Sarteano and Montepulciano.
There is also an exciting nightlife in all the small towns surrounding Trasimeno throughout the summer months, and is especially popular with Italian Tourists in the month of August. Lianchihtan (Lotus Pond) Scenic Area is one of Kaohsiung's most traditional scenic areas, and was listed as one of the "Eight Sights of Fongshan" in the Qing Dynasty. There are pavilions by the beach, massive statues of gods and also the "old city" surrounded by the city wall, where you can view traditional living settlements and businesses, you can also sample Zuoying's rich, diverse food in the old streets and traditional markets.
The Longhu Tower (Dragon Tiger Tower) is the most famous scenic spot in Lianchihtan. Constructed in 1976, the tower is seven stories tall, and the dragon and tiger doors are its entrance and exit. Its walls are decorated with koji pottery, which represent proselytizing stories, from a variety of artists.

Sokolka is situated in the eastern part of Podlasie Vojevodship, on the edge of Knyszyn Primeval Forest, by the international road and railway route Warsaw-Bialystok-Grodno and running farther towards Minsk, Vilnius, Riga, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The municipality borders on Belarus and is situated on the territory of a future European Union’s east boundary. Sokolka municipality covers the area of 314 km2. The Brownville Food Pantry For Deer feeds approximately 400 pounds per day of native oats (local) to help sustain the white-tailed deer population through rough winters here in central Maine.
Feeding happens daily around 14: 00 (2 PM) Eastern Standard Time starting December 16 and continues to the beginning of April. These are wild deer and this is not a deer farm. Some of the deer have been coming for more than 10 years including a piebald deer with more white markings than a normal white-tailed deer.
At times there are 100 to 200 deer at the pantry. Wild turkeys also come and eat the native oats along side the deer. At times you may see up to 100 wild turkeys at once.
There is no Chronic Wasting Disease, or CWD in wild deer in Maine. These deer are all very healthy and there has never been any type of disease spread among these deer. This "Yarding" of deer happens in Maine every winter, even if they were not being fed.

Piazza Silvestri is located in the small town of Bevagna, in the province of Perugia. It is considered among the most significant medieval urban constructions in Umbria. The square is overlooked by the Gothic building Palazzo dei Consoli and the Romanesque churches of San Silvestro and San Michele Arcangelo.
The town is surrounded by four walls, the so called “Gaite“. They are perfectly preserved and marked by square towers through which you access the historic centre, characterised by it's long, narrow streets and very picturesque views.
No doubt the most important event is the Market of Gaite, a medieval fair during which it is recreated the daily life in Bevagna in the period between 1250 and 1350. An amazing revival! For ten days, over the last two Sundays in June, Bevagna turns back in time. The old shops resume their activities, local people wear the costumes of that epoch and live again the daily life with games and traditional crafts.
As in the past the Gaite of Bevagna, San Giorgio, San Giovanni, San Pietro and Santa Maria compete in four challenges: the market contest, the craft contest, the culinary contest, the sports contest with archery. Through a complex system of points assigned by different experts, the winner is declared on the last day of the event and receives the Palio of victory. The atmosphere during those days is truly unique!
The entire re-enactment is accompanied by performances, concerts, children’s entertainment and local cuisine. On this occasion, the Museum will be exceptionally open even at night to discover and enjoy the artistic heritage of the village.
Bevagna is located at about 30 minutes from Perugia, the Umbrian capital city and it is well connected to the towns of Foligno and Todi. It is also near to Spoleto, Montefalco and Bettona. Therefore, without driving too much you can visit several centres of considerable interest.

Erasmus Bridge is a combined cable stayed and bascule bridge, construction began in 1986 and was completed in 1996. It crosses the nieuwe maas in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city, the second largest city in the Netherlands. The bridge is 800 meters long and at its highest point, the bridge is 139 meters tall. Known as the 'erasmusbrug' in dutch, the bridge has also been lovingly nicknamed the swan (‘de zwaan’) by locals due to the distinctive shape.
Around the river, several old warehouses and a number of newer buildings now house cultural institutes and restaurants. In the distance, you can see the soaring De Rotterdam complex. The Geirangerfjord is one of Norway's most visited tourist sites and has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, along with the Nærøyfjord, since 2005.
Along the sides of this magnificent fjord, there a number of abandoned farms. The farms that are most commonly visited are Skageflå, Knivsflå and Blomberg. Skageflå can also be reached on foot from Geiranger, while the others can only be seen from the fjord.
The fjord also has several impressive waterfalls. The two most notable waterfalls in the Geirangerfjord are ‘de Syv Søstre’ (the seven sisters) and ‘Friaren’ (the suitor, also called the wooer). The two waterfalls face one another across the fjord, and the suitor is said to be trying to woo the sisters opposite.
Brudesløret (the bridal veil) is another waterfall on the fjord, thus named because it falls delicately over one rocky edge, and when seen backlit by the sun looks like a thin veil over the rocks.

Gubbio is a well-preserved medieval hill town in the Umbria region of central Italy. Gubbio's compact center has a good selection of medieval, Gothic, and Renaissance monuments built of gray limestone and has great views over the beautiful countryside. Just outside the town is a Roman amphitheater.

Gubbio is in Umbria, twenty-five miles northeast of Perugia (see Umbria map) and about 40 miles south of Urbino in the neighboring Marche region.

The closest train station is Fossato di Vico, about 12 miles away. Buses connect Gubbio with the station and other nearby towns. If you're traveling by car, take the scenic SS298 road between Perugia and Gubbio. There's also bus service between Perugia and Gubbio. Buses arrive in Gubbio at Piazza Quaranta Martiri. Umbria has a small airport at Perugia with flights from Europe and the UK. Gubbio is about 124 miles from Rome Fiumicino airport.

On the beautiful peninsula of Walcheren, also named “the garden of Zeeland” , you can find camping Janse. Just 2 km away from the village of Zoutelande and at the foot of the sand dunes. The beach is directly behind the campsite, a few minutes walk over the dunes brings you to the beach.
On our neatly kept camp site, all of the pitches are approx. 95 m2, with well cared for grass areas.
For the children we have a nice play area, an animal corner and a sand pit. Further you find a jeu de boules area and a covered area “Jansje” where you can borrow books, magazines, games and toys during your stay. During the holiday period, there is a recreational team three times a week on the campsite.
The campsite is on the bicycle route, walking paths and roller skating paths are nearby. Rather travel by bus, the busstop is outside the campsite, where your discovery trail can begin. Holidays on campsite Janse is a holiday, truly near the sea.

Construction of Lakhta Center started on 30 October 2012; it was topped out on 29 January 2018. This webcam shows the stunning view of Tokyo’s waterfront around Shiodome and Hamamatsuchō, looking out toward Tokyo Bay. The curved elevated expressway in the foreground is part of the Shuto Expressway, looping gracefully above the water. This circular ramp is a recognizable feature near the Shiodome area, leading traffic on and off the Rainbow Bridge and inner-city expressway network.
At night, the skyline glows with modern high-rises and office towers, giving a classic Tokyo nightscape. The tall structure with the blue light at its tip is Tokyo Tower, a famous landmark visible from many points across the city. Just beyond lies the port area, where boats and ferries move through the bay. This area is popular with visitors for its city lights, waterfront walks, and access to attractions like the futuristic architecture of Shiodome, scenic views from Hamarikyu Gardens, and the Rainbow Bridge illuminated at night.

The Geirangerfjord is one of Norway's most visited tourist sites and has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, along with the Nærøyfjord, since 2005.
Along the sides of this magnificent fjord, there a number of abandoned farms. The farms that are most commonly visited are Skageflå, Knivsflå and Blomberg. Skageflå can also be reached on foot from Geiranger, while the others can only be seen from the fjord.
The fjord also has several impressive waterfalls. The two most notable waterfalls in the Geirangerfjord are ‘de Syv Søstre’ (the seven sisters) and ‘Friaren’ (the suitor, also called the wooer). The two waterfalls face one another across the fjord, and the suitor is said to be trying to woo the sisters opposite.
Brudesløret (the bridal veil) is another waterfall on the fjord, thus named because it falls delicately over one rocky edge, and when seen backlit by the sun looks like a thin veil over the rocks.

Ilene Nature Reserve was started in 1981, is a so-called "Ramsar" area,- an import area as regards wildlife/bird conservation and protection. This mud-flats area is worthy of protection and of great importance for birds as a rest and feeding ground during spring and autumn emigration.
236 different sorts of birds have been observed here from the nature trails and birdwatching towers. In addition, the activities in the area include information work, ringing of birds, courses in bird watching, and influencing political decision-makers to protect wetlands and other important biotopes and ecosystems.

You are watching a live stream of the bird feeders at Bird Watching HQ's feeding station. This bird cam provides entertainment but also a chance to learn the backyard birds of the eastern USA. I am located near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Akron, Oh (USA).
This camera is located on the ground, underneath the main group of bird feeders. Common mammals seen at night include Virginia Opossums, Eastern Cottontails (rabbit), Striped Skunks, and raccoons. Kabukicho is a famous entertainment district located in the Shinjuku ward of Tokyo, Japan. It is known for its bright neon lights, bustling streets, and lively nightlife scene. The area is home to many bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and adult entertainment venues, making it a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The name "Kabukicho" is derived from kabuki, a traditional form of Japanese theater, and the suffix "-cho," which means "district" in Japanese.

The mainland portion of the airport opened as a military aerodrome in 1923, and commenced civilian joint use as Omura Airport (大村空港) in 1955.
The current island runway and terminal opened on May 1, 1975. Although Nagasaki is superficially similar to Japan's other island airports, Kansai International Airport, Kobe Airport, Kitakyushu Airport, and Chūbu Centrair International Airport, Nagasaki's island existed (in a radically different shape) before the airport was constructed. Constructing the airport required flattening the island's hills and forming landfill around its shore, expanding it from 0.9 to 1.54 km2 (0.35 to 0.59 sq mi).
